These volunteers assist with phones, welcome walk-in guests and appointments, answer general community and San Diego Pride questions, help with things like copying, filing, data entry, assist with ticket sales and other special projects.
LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE:
As a member of this committee you will:
Work directly with the area managers/coordinators to identify potential candidates for our Leadership Academy
Secure Trainers for Leadership Academy
Identify training needs for Advance Training workshops and make all necessary arrangement for on-going training
MARKETING & COMMUNICATION COMMITTEE:
These volunteers help market, advertise, and promote, our events both within and outside of our community, and assist in video production and editing. Assist in the graphic design of our marketing plan. Be part of our Pride TV!
OUTREACH & COMMUNITY SUPPORT:
Provides volunteer assistance to other community organizations when producing their events. San Diego Pride volunteers have assisted with Hillcrest Mardi Gras, South Bay Pride and Palm Springs Pride.
Promotes LGBT visibility by participating in a variety of community events such as the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, the Cesar Chavez Parade, South Bay Pride, the North County LGBT Pride Festival, and Long Beach Pride.
Staffs outreach and information booths and tables are community events, colleges, universities, and street fairs
RAINBOW FLAG RAISING COMMITTEE:
Volunteers work tireless to encourage businesses and corporations county-wide to fly the Pride Flag for the whole month of July as a show of solidarity and support of the LGBT Community.
